Simply the best cutter/warranty
Although I haven't been smoking very long, I've had some really cheap cutters. When I first started smoking cigars, I couldn't understand why someone would buy a cigar cutter that cost more that $5. At that time I thought a cutter was is a cutter.
Well time has past and I've ruined some nice cigars (Cuban and Non-Cuban)due to using a cheap cutters. My first (expensive to me) quality cutter was a Colibri cutter that cost about $30 and I used it for the last year. It was the best I've ever used. Although it always cut uneven, it ruined less cigars by a far margin than my peso cutter from Cuba.
This Xikar Xi3 is amazing. The tight tolerances, the natural feel in the hand and the perfect straight cut. I just compared it to the Colibi by alternating cuts with a 52 ring gauge cigar that I cut 10 times and the Xikar Xi3 cut the cigar perfect every time and the Colibi continued to cut uneven. The tight tolerances are just not there on the Colibri, although both cutters use 440 stainless steel blades.
With the lifetime warrany, this is the last cigar cutter I will need, unless I loose it. I'm 100% sold on this cutter. The best I've ever used.
This is my 5th, and last cutter.
