Practical for Smaller Rings
Having returned to commuting on foot three days a week, I bought this so I could have a cigar for the walk home and a nip to ward off the chill. These are not for anyone who needs to humidify on a trip, they only carry.
When I got it into my hand, I thought it would do for anything I smoke, since I do not favour the larger rings and the tubes looked and felt plenty big enough.
Nope. Although long, the tubes will not fit any but the smallest cigars I have in my humidor, which means that (about) 40 ring is too big for the tubes, although they are plenty long.
The flask works well, although you are strongly advised to:
Rinse the flask with hot water and baking soda before first use
Fill the flask with cold water and walk with it for a bit. You will have to (gently) re-seat the plastic inner before it will seal. Water is much preferable to smelling up your satchel with the hootch of your choice. After that seating-in period, it works fine but DO NOT OVER-TIGHTEN.
All in all, I was surprised that what I thought were moderate ring sizes do not fit but it certainly sturdy and practical enough. I might cut away the flask portion and carry it and a larger ring gauge in my Adorini carrier, if it will fit.
PROS: Sturdy, lightweight, practical for two moderate cigars and a little nip. Price is excellent
CONS: "Average" cigars will not fit (depends totally on what you think of as average). Flask needs cleaned and seated before first use.
VALUE FOR MONEY: 7.5 / 10
