Boveda Humidity Packs are a revolutionary 2-way humidity control product that will maintain your humidor within +/- 2.5% RH. Boveda guarantees a constant level of humidity that never fluctuates or cycles. It also eliminates bacteria, mold, and mildew. You will never have to use distilled water or PG solution again.

The humidity level you desire is a personal preference for your cigars. Some people enjoy their cigars a little dryer and some enjoy them a bit more moist. Boveda Humidity Packs now come in different humidity levels. It is up to you which one you prefer. The 69% Boveda is in the general range for most cigar smokers. Some aficionados will swear by this rating, and others think it is still too dry. Certain tobaccos seem to fair better at 69% but we believe it is up to each smoker.

Remember, Boveda Humidity Packs are bi-directional... They will actually remove moisture from a humidor that is too moist, release humidity into a humidor that is too dry, and then maintain the relative humidity based on the percentage you use. Each Boveda packet consists of a specially prepared saturated solution of pure water and natural salt. This saturated solution is contained within a water-vapor permeable “reverse osmosis” membrane. Within a closed desktop humidor, Boveda maintains a predetermined level of (RH) by releasing or absorbing purified water vapor—as needed—through the membrane. There is a simple formula to determine how many Boveda Packs you require. You will need one Pack for the Humidor itself and one pack for every 25 cigars of CAPACITY. So if you have a humidor that holds 40 cigars, use 3 packs. If your box holds 75 cigars, use 4 packs. 100 cigars, 5 packs.

The life of any Boveda Pack is based on how hard it has to work. When using the recommended 1 Boveda per 25 cigars the humidor holds (even if it isn’t full of cigars), they’ll last 2-3 months. And since Boveda will never humidify beyond the RH you’re using, there’s no such thing as “too much” Boveda. More Boveda will work more efficiently and last longer, meaning you can never buy more than you need. Stored in plastic containers or the Humidor Bag, Boveda will last 6+ months.
